Spotlight: Ally aka Fashion By Ally

Share your story of becoming a Youtuber. How did you get started? What inspires you/ any muses? What do you love most about creating videos?

My high school best friend convinced me to join YouTube in 2009 after watching internet personalities such as Michelle Phan, Xteeener, and Wong Fu Productions. I fell in love with the concept of being a part of an online community that embraced creativity.

After many years of making YouTube videos, I learned that it is best to just have fun with it! I honestly make my fashion, beauty, and lifestyle videos for my viewers because they’re the ones who motivate me every single day to embrace my creativity and passion for art. I love everything about YouTube, from the brainstorming process, editing, and responding to comments. Since YouTube is constantly evolving, so am I.

Describe your lifestyle (what makes you choose the things you reviews) and a few of your favorite brands. Who do you wish to work with in the future on a collaboration?

I am currently entering my last year of college and that means I am still very budget conscious. From my frugal roots, I learn to use what I have and to never take anything for granted. When it comes to product or clothing reviews, I follow the same motto. I love shops that are assessable such as Target, Forever 21, H&M, and Zara. In the future, I would love the opportunity to work with Target on a creative project.

What do you like best about FameBit?

I love that FameBit connects YouTubers to small and large brands. Together, we are able to communicate the stories of these brands.

A few faves please! (food, movie, quote, etc)

I am obsessed with all Asian food such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food. My friends claim that I am a rabbit because I love vegetables! As for movies, I am obsessed with Pixar films because of their whimsical nature and colorful plots. My favorite quote at the moment is “Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams we plant the seed of our future. “ - Unknown.
