I started making videos for fun back in 2008 when I lived in Washington. In the past, I was always VERY interested in the YouTube community, but I didn't really dive in to it until I went to Vidcon in 2012 where I met and became friends with some of the "famous" youtubers. From there, I spontaneously decided to move to LA and shortly after filmed some videos with people such as Joey Graceffa, Luke Conard, and Jon D (aka SimplySpoons), all of those videos on their channels quickly received millions of views. That's where I really got my first big push on YouTube.
As far as what inspires me... The fact that you can build your own career all by yourself on YouTube. I also get inspiration by watching SNL and old nickelodeon "All That" episodes and I'd really like to start dabbling in more sketch style videos. I love coming up with original ideas and making them come to life. I also REALLY enjoy editing... I know I can edit well, so it gives me a sense of pride.
The deciding factor for me as far as choosing things to review is if the brand is willing to give me the flexibility to incorporate their products in to my videos in unique and fun ways. I'm not really a fan of sitting there and talking about a product in your average review style video. I like my videos to be a bit more quirky, whether I make a skit about the product, or I make the video in a more inspirational style, or my favorite style of brand video is where I combine a cover song music video with a lookbook... Brands who will work with me and give me full creative freedom are my favorite brands to work with!
As far as collaborations, there's no one in particular that I've thought "gee, I NEED to work with them". But at the same time, I'm down and excited to collaborate with anyone!
My favorite thing about FameBit is that it gives the people who don't have dedicated managers or networks the chance to actually make enough money to live off of so it can be their full time job, which wasn't happening for me until I came across FameBit. THANKS FAMEBIT :D
Favorite food- SUSHI!!!! I'm obsessed!
Movie- Elf! I could watch it any time of the year and it puts me in the Christmas spirit! (Which the Christmas season is obviously my favorite time of the year)
Quote- "I don't wanna gain the whole world and lose my soul" -Toby Mac lyrics
You can obviously really lose yourself and morals and standards down in LA. I don't need all of the money and fame that everyone here seems to be searching for. I want to stay true to myself and level headed. Helping others is much more important than the greed that comes with the riches.
